A warm and friendly welcome awaits all our guests at Ashfield House Bed and Breakfast in the picturesque village of Arrochar. Wonderfully situated at the head of Loch Long in the heart of the Arrochar Alps, Ashfield House boasts spectacular uninterrupted views of both the sea loch and the magnificent mountains, including the famous Cobbler'. This traditional house, built in 1812, offers all modern facilities with en suite bedrooms. Guests have their own wing of the house and a separate entrance. The House sits well back from the road among large private gardens, popular with local deer and surrounded by mature forest. There is ample private parking for our guests as well as a large secure bothy providing dry storage for bicycles sports equipment. Guests have their own sitting room where they can relax in comfortable seating, listen to a selection of music or read from our extensive library while enjoying a complementary glass of sherry. We also have a wide variety of board games and a selection of tourist information and maps to assist in planning your well earned holiday. Detailed information and advice on climbing and walking in the area can be provided. Packed lunches can be provided for walkers on request. Breakfast is served at your own table in the Dining Room. Arrochar is only 5 minutes from beautiful Loch Lomond and 50 minutes from Glasgow Airport while Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Highlands and Western Inner Hebridean Islands are all within easy reach. Arrochar is in the heart of Scotland's first National Park with ample visitor opportunities for sightseeing, sports and recreation. Ashfield House is an ideal base for many outdoor activities which include cruise trips, golf, fishing, canoeing, mountain biking and particularly all levels of hill walking climbing. We have a long history of receiving guests from all over the world and particularly from Europe as we speak French and Spanish.

By Road From Glasgow, Edinburgh and the South follow the M8 through Glasgow. If you are arriving at Glasgow Airport join the M8 going west. If you are arriving at Prestwick Airport take the A77 North, onto the M77 and then the M8 west. Then go onto the M898 over the Erskine Bridge and follow the A82 north (to Crianlarich) and up the west side of Loch Lomond. At the Tarbet Hotel continue straight ahead on the A83 for 1.5 miles into Arrochar and Ashfield House is on the right hand side of the A83, just after the Loch Long Hotel.By Train Take the West Highland line from via Glasgow Queen Street. Alight at Arrochar and and Tarbet station and turn right following the road for 1 mile into the village. Ashfield House is on the right hand side of the A83, just after the Loch Long Hotel.
