Goldberry Cottage Bed and Breakfast is dramatically situated at the foot of the world famous Ben Arthur, better known as The Cobbler, and we have stunning uninterrupted views over Loch Long and out towards the Ardgartan peninsula.All our rooms are en-suite with shower and have hypo-allergenic bedding, flat screen TV with DVD player, hospitality tray and hairdryer. Our guests have their own private entrance so they can come and go as they please. Please note that although we love children we are unable to cater for babies or children under 12 years of age. We are located in Ardgartan, Arrochar, Argyll and Bute, which is at the heart of The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Scotland's First National Park. The area is renowned for its dramatic natural scenic beauty, and yet we are only one hour's drive from Glasgow and 45 minutes drive from Glasgow Airport.Loch Long is a favourite place for diving, fishing and canoeing and there is easy access to the loch and beach directly across from Goldberry Cottage. The beach leads on to a stretch of water known to the diving community as Conger Alley. There are lots of interesting things to see and do in the area including visiting Inverary Jail, Inverary Castle or take a cruise on Loch Lomond. The Argyll Forest is on our doorstep which boasts a great selection of climbing and hill walking routes and also gives access to the Arrochar Alps where there are a variety of Munros to be found. There are also many mountain biking routes to suit the beginner and the more adventurous.

Directions

By Road From Glasgow, Edinburgh and the South follow signs for the M8 (west bound) heading towards Greenock. From the M8 take the exit marked M898 Erskine Bridge, continue over the bridge then take the left exit marked for Crianlarich onto the A82. Continue along the A82 alongside Loch Lomond until you reach Tarbet. Continue straight ahead onto the A83 which will take you to Arrochar. Continue straight through Arrochar and along the A83 for a further 2-3 minutes towards Ardgartan, and Goldberry Cottage BandB is the first white house on the right, just before the Argyll Cabins.By Road from Glasgow Airport. From the airport take the M8 (west bound) heading towards Greenock . Continue as above.By Road from Prestwick Airport. Take the A77 (north bound), onto the M77 and then the M8 (west bound). Continue as above.
